PROGRAM

This program is specifically designed for beginners, with no previous mountaineering experience on glaciers. It will help you to gain the skills needed for glacier mountaineering and to become proficient with an ice axe, crampons and the climbing rope. In addition to mastering the basic of travelling on a glacier, you will also learn some key safety rules.

Thanks to the presence of the Skyway Mont Blanc cable car (working all year round), the hike on Mont Blanc glacier can be planned both during the summer and winter season.
During the summer the trip is performed wearing crampons, while during the winter, due to the presence of fresh snow, snowshoes will be provided.
The choice of using crampons or snowshoes will depend on the snow conditions at the time of the trip, and will be communicated before the departure.

GROUP DEPARTURES

DAY

Drop: 200 m
Ascent/descent: 3-4 hours
